I sent my camera in for some maintenance at the end of this month. I knew I’d miss it, but man, did it feel weird not to have it around. Nikon was quick with getting it back to me safe and sound, so thankfully I wasn’t without it for long. Before I sent it in I got this Gem below. I snapped the shutter at just the right time as the bird that Andrew had been feeding flew off and buzzed him. I think his face shows the instant his expression went from delight to near terror.
I did get my camera back just in time for a trip to San Antonio. Keith and I have been talking about going for years and we finally made it happen. We’re so grateful for the grandparents who took care of Andrew for the weekend. It was the longest we’ve ever been away from him and he did awesome. I’m not even sure he missed us much. (Why would you, when you have undivided grandparent attention?) We’re looking forward to more S&K time in the future!
