April favorites | DFW documentary photographer
Typically I prefer to do all my documentary photography with my “big camera,” even my personal photography. After learning how to make my digital SLR do pretty much whatever I want I’m always frustrated with the results I get from my cell phone’s camera. I got a new phone in April, though, (a Galaxy S7; we’re not Apple people here) and decided to try out the camera on it. Much better than my previous one! I won’t be pulling out the cell when I have my good camera with me but now I know my phone can do okay in a pinch. Both of the park photos from this month were taken with the camera on my phone. When you find some unexpected giant puddles making awesome reflections you have to take a photo even if you didn’t come prepared!
